About Michael Braunstein

Mr. Braunstein has been been in private practice providing hypnotherapy and mentoring in Omaha, Nebraska since 1994. He is a graduate of the Hypnotism Training Institute of Los Angeles, a California-licensed school founded in 1957, training directly under the legendary Mr. Gil Boyne.
Mr. Braunstein was certified by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, the largest hypnotherapy certifying body in the world, with the designation Clinical Hypnotherapist.
His background includes ten years as an instructor at UCLA in the Arts and Sciences Department of the Extension University. He also has extensive experience in the practical application of metaphysics. He has facilitated A Course in Miracles teaching groups since 1983. He is currently executive director of Heartland Healing Center, Inc., a non-profit corporation in Omaha, Nebraska and for 25 years published a weekly column in Omaha's The Reader newspaper covering alternative therapies and metaphysics.
As a teacher and lecturer, he has presented talks or workshops at the University of Nebraska Medical School, the Universal College of Healing Arts, University of Nebraska at Omaha, Creighton University College of Medicine, churches, hospitals and learning institutions across the country and internationally. In addition, he has been a regular presenter at the International Hypnotherapy Conference in Los Angeles.
In his hypnotherapy practice, Mr. Braunstein has worked with clients as young as six and as old as eighty-five; helping people make changes or improvements in their lives in dozens of different areas. He has worked with prominent business and professional persons; elected politicians and people from all walks of life. In 1995 and 1996 he worked with the University of Nebraska basketball team to improve athletic performance during their successful drive toward the NIT Championship.
